Republic Services schedule for the Christmas Holidays: (Please be patient with the drivers. They work hard for our city.) Republic will be closed on Christmas Day. That week they will service Thursdays routes on Friday and Fridays routes on Saturday.

POSTPONED: Montevallo Christmas Parade with Tree Lighting - Due to the weather, the 2025 Montevallo Christmas Parade has been moved to Thursday December 11th at 6pm / Tree Lighting 5:30pm.

Montevallo Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting Thursday, 12/4/25 begins at 5:30 PM.

Montevallo's Annual Christmas Parade, presented by Montevallo Chamber of Commerce, will kick off this Thursday, December 4 with the tree lighting at 5:30 PM on the post office lawn, followed by the parade rolling down Main Street at 6 PM. 

Montevallo Main Street will announce the winners of the 9th Annual Storefront Decorating Contest at the Tree Lighting before parade, recognizing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Places in both the merchant and student group categories, as well as the Mayor's Choice and Junior Mayor's Choice.
