American Village Educational Building Authority

Alabama law permits the establishment of “public educational building authorities” as single-purpose public corporations for the sole purpose of facilitating financing of certain improvements to educational entities, viz., in this case, The Citizenship Trust and American Village doing business as The American Village. The authority and its board of directors are not engaged in the management, direction, or supervision of the affairs of The Citizenship Trust or The American Village. Those responsibilities are vested in the Trust chartered by 1995 legislative act, and as subsequently amended.
