4th Annual Spring Fling Family Food Truck Fest!

Montevallo Main Street, Impact Montevallo, and DRUM the Program invite you to experience our 4th Annual Spring Fling Family Food Truck Fest! From Noon until 6:00 P.M. Saturday, April 26th on Island Street at the Orr Park/ Pecan Grove (940 Island Street) to grab lunch or an early dinner from one of our featured food trucks! This fest will be fun for the whole family. Activities will be provided by Impact Montevallo and DRUM the Program.

From noon to 6 PM, Impact Montevallo will provide bounce houses, an obstacle course, and yard games, along with face painting!

FREE Dump Day Saturday, March 29th!

Counting Down to FREE Dump Day Saturday March 29th, 2025, 7:00am-1:30pm at the Recycling Center!

The City of Montevallo will be participating in FREE DUMP DAY! Bring your items to the Recycling Center, 1120 Overland Road between the hours of 7:00AM - 1:30PM and the Public Works Department will take them to the Shelby County Alabama Landfill for you at no charge. Gather those items you've been meaning to get rid off around the house and take them to the Recycling Center this coming Saturday!

STORM SHELTERS ARE OPEN: A "Tornado WATCH" has been issued for Shelby County, Shelters #1 and #2 are OPEN and will remain OPEN until it is safe for citizens to return home. Please be safe, prepared, and weather aware.

The City of Montevallo will be participating in Shelby County's FREE Landfill Day for residents. Bring items to Montevallo’s Recycling Center (1120 Overland Rd) from 7am to 1:30pm.

***NOTE*** Have items to the Recycling Center by 1:30PM so item can be transported to the Shelby County Landfill on TIME!***

You may take your items directly to the Shelby County Landfill. The Shelby County Landfill is located at 401 Landfill Road, just off Highway 70 between Columbiana and Calera. We cannot accept Hazardous waste, tires, batteries, or liquids of any type.

Montevallo Fire and Rescue's 50th Annual Prevention Parade

Montevallo Fire and Rescue would like to invite you and your family to our 50th Annual Fire Prevention Parade. The parade will be held on Saturday October 5th at 10am starting from Island Street and Main Street going toward Shelby Street.

Immediately following the parade on Main Street you are encouraged to join us in Orr Park. There will be events for the kids and vendors. We are looking forward to seeing everyone there this year.
