How to Get a Copy of Accident Reports
Effective March 24, 2022, the Montevallo Police Department is utilizing CARFAX for citizens to obtain a copy of their accident report. To retrieve these reports, citizens will go to crashdocs.org. Select the State of Alabama then select Montevallo Police Department and follow several simple prompts. Accident reports are $5.00. Credit/ debit cards are accepted as a form of payment through this website. Accident reports are displayed as PDF documents and can be printed directly from the website.
Montevallo Police Department Bail Bonding Companies

Emergency Contact Project
The Montevallo Police Department is currently asking business owners and citizens to participate in an emergency contact information project the department is developing. This project will allow business owners and citizens to provide contact information so that incase of an emergency the police department can have a way to notify them of a situation that might be going on at their address.
If you wish to participate in this program, please choose the correct emergency contact form and submit it to the Montevallo Police Department. On behalf of the Montevallo Police Department, we appreciate your participation.
Patrol Requests
As part of our mission to ensure the safety of all residents in Montevallo, we offer patrols by request if you're out of town or on vacation. To request a patrol, you can fill out the Patrol Request Form or call the Montevallo Police Department at 205-665-1264.

What do I do if there is an outstanding warrant against me?
You must turn yourself in to the Montevallo Police Department. You will be able to post bond (except in Violation of Probation cases) as soon as the Police Department concludes the booking process. Bond may be posted in cash or through a professional bonding company.
Where are subjects taken after arrest?
After the subject has completed the booking process at the Montevallo Police Department, they are then transported to: Shelby County Sheriff's Office - Jail Division, 380 McDow Road, Columbiana, AL 35051. (Phone: 205-670-6000) (Fax: 205-669-3938) www.shelbyso.com.
What do I do if my minor child(ren) has been arrested and detained?
Once the booking process has been completed by the Montevallo Police Department, your minor child(ren) will be taken to the Juvenile Detention Facility and any court proceedings will be handled through the Shelby County Juvenile Court. The Juvenile Detention Center is located at:
