MONTEVALLO ARTS FEST POSTPONED:
The Montevallo Arts Collaborative board has made the difficult decision to postpone the Montevallo Arts Fest to Saturday, June 18, 2022, due to the high probability of rain and thunderstorms this Saturday.
We know this date won’t work for everyone, but hope it will provide the best opportunity for most of our artists to come back, and a more pleasant atmosphere for visitors.
Our first priority is to the safety of our artists and visitors. While no severe weather is forecast, off and on rain adversely affects many of our artists’ work. Paintings, prints and photographs don’t do well in rainy weather. Neither do artisan soaps and textiles. And an outdoor festival on a rainy day will not draw the visitors artists rely on to purchase their products.
We hope everyone who was planning to join us this Saturday, April 16, 2022, will understand our decision, and plan to come back and join us in June.
