Municipal Court has jurisdiction over motor vehicle and traffic violations, criminal misdemeanors and municipal ordinance violations established by the Code of Ordinances and committed within the city limits of Montevallo, Alabama.
Any civil complaints, including obtaining a restraining / protection from abuse order, is done through the Circuit court in the county in which the act occurred.
Citation Payment
Court Costs are incurred on each ticket regardless of appearing in court.
Ticket(s) must be paid in full at least 24 hours prior to the listed court date on your citation, or you must appear in court. Paying a ticket in full includes the fine and the court costs. Failure to pay citations in full or appear on your scheduled court date may result in a warrant for your arrest and / or suspension of your driver's license.
If you are paying a citation at Montevallo City Hall, 541 Main Street, Montevallo, AL, 35115, please remember to bring your citation with you in order to properly credit your ticket.
